Processes of development, change, and globalization in Latin America, Asia, and Africa are playing an increasingly important global role in this day and age. The interdisciplinary master's programme Development Studies addresses the causes, conditions, and consequences of such processes.
Bachelor's degree with an examination grade of 2.5 or better in Applied African Studies, African Culture and Society, or International Economics and Development, or African Development Studies in Geography, or Philosophy and Economics, or B.Sc. Geography, or Culture and Society in the subject area Sociology from the University of Bayreuth, or an equivalent degree, Degree and School Leaving Certificates and Transcripts, German language proficiency test for international university applicants with a result of at least DSH 2, Test of German as a foreign language Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache, TestDaF with a result of at least 4 x TDN 4, German Language Certificate of the Education Ministers Conference, DSD - level two (DSD II), SD Zertifikat C2, Goethe-Zertifikat C2, telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule, certificate of the internal German language exam of the University of Bayreuth with Result corresponds to the DSH 2 level, English Language requirements: TOEFL 95 points, IELTS Academic minimum score of 7.0, Cambridge Certificate: Certificate in Advanced English CAE.
