Program Overview

The consecutive and research-oriented master's degree course in History conveys in-depth scientific knowledge in different epochs, regions and sub-disciplines of the subject. The epochal (Old, Medieval and Modern History) and geographical (German history, European history, global history) breadth as well as the thematic diversity of the teaching offer students the opportunity to develop specific study and research priorities. One of the goals of the study is to give an insight into the basic conditions of historical change as well as epoch-, regional- and culture-specific features and characteristics.
