Program Overview

"The Master's program, which is unique in Germany, combines theology and cultural studies in an interdisciplinary study program. The master's program is aimed at graduates of theology (Protestant or Catholic) as well as theology-related courses such as religious studies or Jewish studies or history and sociology with a corresponding focus.The students deal with the basics of cultural theory as well as with the phenomenon of religion, the diversity of religions and their social functions up to application-oriented questions of education and cultural management. One focus in Osnabr ck is on exploring the interrelationship between culture and religion(s).The consecutive specialist master's degree is designed as a research-oriented full-time course with 120 credit points and is completed with a master's thesis and the degree ""Master of Arts""."

A qualified bachelor's degree in English, educational science, Protestant theology, German studies, history, Catholic theology, art history, Latin studies, musicology, philosophy, religious studies, political science or Romance studies or in a closely related subject with a related subject-related portion of at least 70 credit points.
