Program Overview

Magister for Lawyers with Foreign Degree is a one-year postgraduate degree to gain the internationally recognized degree of a Magister Legum (LL.M.). The postgraduate course is aimed at students who have acquired a legal education comparable to the German First State Examination at a university outside the Federal Republic of Germany. It should familiarize with the German legal tradition and provide either basic knowledge of German law or special knowledge in a selected area of law. At the same time, it is a way for students to familiarize themselves with the German language and culture.
