Program Overview

The programme focusses on landscape ecology and environmental research with biological and geographical methods. There are seven mandatory modules with 48 ECTS in total, all taught in English. You are free to set your own priorities by selecting seven elective modules 42 ECTS in total out of the ones offered. Focal areas of the programme are: biodiversity, terestrial ecology, aquativ ecology, tropical ecology, geo-ecology, regional development, and man and environment.

Bachelor degree 3 year study course with a focus in environmental sciences, grade good or better. A good command of the English language is expected. In specific cases admission may be granted irrespective of the final grade, subject to approval by the board of examiners, Bachelor degree with a CGPA above 65%, B or better, 2.5 or better in the German grading scheme, prove English skills by a TOEFL or IELTS test, English language skills are required at the level of B2, which means that a TOEFL result of 550 paper based / 213 computer based / 79 - 80 internet based, a IELTS 6,5 points, or higher are mandatory, German programs require German language skills DSH, level 2 or TestDAF, level 4 - a Goethe certificate or other language tests
