Program Overview

The aim of the interdisciplinary master's degree in the field of medical photonics is to prepare you for a science-based and research-oriented career in the field of medical optics and photonics or to lay the foundation for further training programs inside or outside the university with the specialist training. In the course, you will acquire in-depth knowledge of theory, methodology and systematics from sub-areas of biology, medicine, mathematics, chemistry and physics, the experimental skills required for scientific work in the field of medical photonics, as well as special training in selected areas microscopy, spectroscopy and diagnostics as well as in current clinical-related applications of photonic techniques.
