Program Overview

In-depth knowledge of experimental and theoretical physics is imparted during the course. In addition to a small proportion of compulsory modules, the M.Sc. Physics a specialization in one of the four fields Optics & photonics, Gravitational & Quantum Theory,Astronomy & Astrophysics, Solid State Physics & Materials Science with high freedom of choice. The master's thesis is also prepared in this area of specialization. Numerous collaborations with non-university institutes enable a wide range of topics and links to industry. At the same time, modules outside of this specialization are also taken, thus ensuring a well-rounded training.
