Program Overview

A degree in Archaeology and History of the Roman Provinces equips students with the ability to independently handle existing evidence in a theoretically grounded and methodologically appropriate manner, as well as to critically evaluate and classify individual types of sources. The goals of the MA-program are 1) to solidify and enlarge the knowledge of roman archaeology acquired during the BA-program, 2) to further develop the skills of independent and critical thinking and reasoning 3) to train time-management and efficient organisation of research.

Bachelor s degree or comparable degree in a similar or related subject, if you are not already enrolled at Goethe-University Frankfurt:a university entrance qualification e.g. A-Levels, Bachelor s degree certificate, if the Bachelor's degree has not yet been completed: a transcript of records or equivalent document listing the content of the study programme and average grade, letter of recommendation from your supervisor, proof of current enrollment in the bachelor programme, Letter of Motivation, Curriculum Vitae, Declaration of examination claim, f the first degree was obtained at an international higher education institution: certificate of German language skills-DSH-2-test (or an equivalent certificate)-TestDaF, Goethe certificate C2, KMK examination: German language diploma second class (DSD II) with level C1 throughout, Telc German C1 higher education, KDS and GDS, Deutsche Sprachpr fung II
