"The master's degree is based on the self-understanding of Romance Studies as the science that deals with the Romance languages derived from Latin and the literatures and cultures written in these languages. Through his three-fold profile formation (""Latin American Studies"", ""Mediterranean Studies"" and ""Romance Studies""), however, he not only devotes himself to the European language areas that have arisen through Romanization, but also deals with the areas outside Europe and the Mediterranean region as the result of colonization Interface of the Christian-Romanesque and the Islamic-Arabic (and also the Jewish) culture.
