The Master s programme in Political Theory, created by Goethe Universit t Frankfurt and Technische Universit t Darmstadt, is the first degree of its kind in Germany. Students attend lectures at, and are tutored by, both universities, which also jointly award the academic degree. The Master s programme in Political Theory teaches the theoretical knowledge and academic skills necessary for a comprehensive analysis of the current political situation and its dynamics. Thus ideas of justice, democracy and power are confronted by the world s current problems, which are becoming increasingly complex.

Bachelor s degree or comparable degree in a similar or related subject, if you are not already enrolled at Goethe-University Frankfurt:a university entrance qualification e.g. A-Levels, Bachelor s degree certificate, if the Bachelor s degree has not yet been completed: a transcript of records or equivalent document listing the content of the study programme and average grade, certificate of English language skills, letter of motivation, comprehensive CV in tabular form, if the first degree was obtained at an international higher education institution:certificate of German language skills, need to submit other documents, depending on your country of origin and your previous education, DSH-2-test (or an equivalent certificate)-TestDaF, Goethe certificate C2, KMK examination: German language diploma second class (DSD II) with level C1 throughout, Telc German C1 higher education, KDS and GDS, Deutsche Sprachpr fung II
