Program Overview

The German-language Master's degree in Urban Studies is research-oriented. It focuses on the scientific examination of questions of urban and spatial planning as well as spatial development. Urbanism understands space as a sphere that is produced by very different determinants. Accordingly, urban planning research must take urban development and functional, political and social, cultural and economic points of view in changing constellations.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or Diplom in Urban Planning and pass an entrance examination, A proof of sufficient language proficiency for university study in Germany DSH-2 or TestDaF TDN 4 will be required.
