Program Overview

The master's degree in photography conveys critical perspectives on photography and new visual media. You acquire the tools to take a critical look at your work and that of your colleagues. At the same time, you direct your gaze to the outside world, to the professional world of image makers and the historical roots of the image medium. The program offers enough space and flexibility to refine your own photographic orientation and artistic practice.

University or technical college degree bachelor or diploma - submit your degree certificate and your transcript of records. If you do not yet have your final certificate, you can also submit it before you start your studies, 2-3 creative works - you can also submit other works from your portfolio, Motivation letter, Proof of language proficiency in English, Certificate of general or technical college entrance qualification, Bachelor's degree incl. transcript, Curriculum vitae, Copy of your passport/ID, Letter of motivation, English-taught programmes: TOEFL 87 ibt direct entry, TOEFL 79 - 86 ibt with additional agreement, TOEIC 785 Listening/Reading 785, Speaking 160, Writing 150, IELTS academic 6.5 average - CAE grade A, B, or C, CPE grade A, B or C, FCE grade A, B or C, Pearson English Test Academic PTE-A 59 points, Linguaskill: 176 - 184 CES - all four skills required, German language proficiency tests:DSH-Pr fung level 2, TestDaF TDN 4 in all partial exams, Goethe-Zertifikat C1 or C2 or Telc C1 or C2 minimum grade good/2, Sprachdiplom Stufe II by the Kultusministerkonferenz KMK, aka DSD IIAssessment test of a Studienkolleg, examination part Deutsch, telc C1 Hochschule
