Program Overview

The training of humanities specialists majoring in the language and literature of the German nationality, who have comprehensive, high-level and special knowledge of the history, language, language use, literature, intellectual and material culture, and identity of the German minority in Hungary. In addition, during their master's studies, they acquired adequate skills and knowledge in the field of German language, literature, and the culture of German-speaking countries. During the nationality-specific training program, in addition to theoretical knowledge, students also get to know practical research work. With their acquired interdisciplinary knowledge, they are able to work in Hungarian German and minority institutions and organizations in general (municipalities, museums, libraries, press bodies, cultural organizations, associations, research institutes), and for working at an exceptionally high level in public administration and in many areas of cultural life.
