Program Overview

The master's program was basically designed to deepen the knowledge of general literacy, literature and linguistics acquired in the framework of the basic Italian course in a scientific manner. The 120-credit course is open to students applying with a BA degree from any other university in the country or the Bologna region. In the liberal arts mediation at the center of the master's program, theoretical training and the transfer of up-to-date basic scientific knowledge are emphasized above all. The courses in the history of literature and culture are segmented according to eras, trends, genres and authors, and are supplemented with specific knowledge of Italian literary theory. In addition to the core training, we offer specializations in the history of ideas and aesthetics.
