Program Overview

The training lasts two years, in the first semester of which the students complete basic subjects and get to know the individual specializations, from which they choose at the end of the semester. From the second semester of the training, university studies continue in the chosen specialization. Students can choose from the following disciplinary specializations: European History, Contemporary History, Hungarian History, Middle Ages. they can choose from the following disciplinary specializations: European History, Contemporary History, Hungarian History, Middle Ages. Students receiving specialization training write a thesis on the topic of their choice, during the defense of which they prove that they know the sources and literature related to their topic at an application level, have basic methodological and resource management skills, and have mastered the critical approach necessary for realistic knowledge of the given historical subfield.
