The Cognitive Psychology specialization deepens knowledge of the operation, development and research methods of basic cognitive systems (perception and action, language, thinking), focusing on the fields of neuropsychology, psycholinguistics, evolutionary and biological psychology. Students of the specialization learn about the latest results, diagnostic methods and development trends of cognitive neuroscience, psychiatry, neurogenetics and behavioral genetics that can be used in cognitive psychology. In the subject program, great emphasis is placed on preparation for independent research work. Students become capable of applying the methodology of modern experimental psychology, planning and carrying out independent research work, and performing practical work in the applied fields of cognitive science.
