The Master of Science in Business Management at ATU is a conversion program designed for non-business graduates who want to pivot into management and leadership roles. Curriculum Structure

Year 1 – Semester 1

Students begin with a strong foundation in management and strategy. Management Strategy introduces frameworks for developing and implementing strategy in dynamic environments, with emphasis on sustainability and ethical considerations. Business Innovation & Enterprise cultivates creativity and problem-solving, encouraging students to design innovative solutions and explore intrapreneurship. Accounting Information for Managers equips learners with analytical skills to interpret financial statements, prepare budgets, and evaluate capital investments. Finally, Research Methods develops the ability to refine research topics, critically evaluate literature, and present proposals for applied projects.

Year 1 – Semester 2

The second semester focuses on operational and people-centered aspects of management. Supply Chain Operations provides advanced knowledge of operations and logistics, emphasizing competitive advantage and sustainable practices. People and Organisations explores leadership, organizational culture, and talent management, preparing students to address challenges in employee relations and performance management. Marketing Management introduces strategic and digital marketing, culminating in applied projects where students design customer personas and execute marketing plans.

Dissertation or Work-Based Learning Project

Students can choose between a traditional Dissertation or a Work-Based Learning Research Project. The dissertation allows learners to conduct independent research on a chosen management topic, while the work-based project provides 12 weeks of full-time industry placement, enabling students to apply academic theories directly to workplace challenges and reflect critically on their practice.
