Advanced knowledge of European cultures and languages, spoken worldwide, has never been more important. The MA in Modern Languages offers students with a high level of attainment in one or more foreign languages at undergraduate level an opportunity to pursue specialist further study, including an optional Erasmus trimester.Internationally recognised scholars offer advanced education across the subject areas of French, German, Italian and Spanish, their cultures and languages. The MA programme entails specialisation in one or two of these language areas, within and beyond Europe, while broadening learning horizons through a range of theoretically informed, interdisciplinary approaches.
A primary degree (NFQ Level 8) in one or more languages, with an overall award of at least Second Class Honours, Grade 1. IELTS 7.0 (with no band less than 6.5 in each element), or equivalent. Two References
