LLM International and Comparative Law

1 Year On Campus Masters Program

Trinity College Dublin TCD

Program Overview

With the increased globalisation of the last twenty years and, even earlier, with the rise to prominence of the international human rights movement, there has been the impetus for students of all nationalities towards studying areas of law with a broad international and comparative focus. This programme will allow students to engage meaningfully in comparative legal research using mature comparative law methodology and develop flexibility, adaptability and independence in order to engage productively with a changing, social, cultural and international environment. The LL.M. (International and Comparative Law) is delivered over one academic year. It seeks to promote critical analysis of, and reflection on, different aspects of international law and comparative law. Students on this programme are examined in six modules and will also complete a research dissertation on a topic approved by the Dissertation Director and related to some aspect of international and comparative law.
