Year 1 – Semester 2

Students continue with Research Workshops (10 ECTS), focusing on dissertation preparation through sessions on academic writing, literature review, and methods selection. Optional modules allow students to tailor their studies, such as Global Issues in Agricultural, Marine and Renewable Energy Economics. The semester emphasises applied learning, with seminars covering topics like crime, housing, migration, lobbying, and environmental policy.

Summer Semester

The program culminates in a Research Paper (MA Dissertation), where students conduct original research under supervision. This independent project allows them to apply theoretical and methodological skills to a policy issue of their choice, often linked to career ambitions in governance, advocacy, or international organisations.
