As a student in this program, you will specialize in one of two tracks: The Bible: Cultural and Historical Context, in which you study the Bible through its cultural, historical, and geographical context and impact; and The Bible and the Ancient Near East, in which you study the Bible in its immediate regional context, the history and culture of the Ancient Near East, and the Akkadian language. Regardless of your study track, you are required to study Modern Hebrew and Biblical Hebrew, and you may also choose to study other ancient languages, such as Aramaic, Ugaritic, or Greek.
