Program Overview

The Biology Faculty provides a graduate program towards Master of Science degree. The program is for students who have already obtained their undergraduate or M.Sc. degree in life sciences, or in other sciences or engineering in which case some additional courses may be required. The central component of the M.Sc. or Ph.D. program is scientific research, during which the student approaches scientific questions, masters a number of experimental techniques and learns to analyze the results and interpret their meaning. The emphasis is on independent thought and analysis, reading the current literature and knowledge of state-of-the-art biological research in a wider context.
