The goals of the Social Studies Education Major are to explore the research fields of geography, history, citizenship and social studies education through scientific approaches, especially as regards school-based researches focusing on the developmental stages of learners and to conduct research and provide education on educational significance, subject-contents and methods in social studies education, based on the research mentioned above, from a broad perspective, including the linkage between school education and a lifelong learning society, as well as lifelong development.
