Program Overview

The Master's program in Orthopedagogics is the stepping stone to the practice of care and (special) education or to a career as a scientist in these domains. You learn to analyze complex situations and systematically search for an explanation for educational and development problems. You will learn how orthopedagogists seek out, test and apply this to children and educators. Children and educators are better off and our knowledge and understanding increases. You learn not only to look critically at education, care and education, but also how you can contribute to the development and testing of alternatives.

A Bachelor s degree from an accredited research university including at least three full years of academic study amounting to a minimum of 180 EC or equivalent, Curriculum Vitae, 2 Letters of recommendation, Letter of Motivation, Diploma(s), Transcript of records, IELTS: 6.5, TOEFL internet-based test: 92, Cambridge Advanced English (CAE): grade A, B or C, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): grade A, B or C, State Examination Dutch as a second language, programme II (NT2-II), VU-NT2 Department, CNaVT Certificate.
