But how do children learn their mother tongue How do non-native speakers learn a second language and what are the best teaching methods What similarities and differences exist between languages If you are interested in people, language, language education, this is your master's degree. A master for thinkers and doers. The Applied Linguistics program deals with the phenomenon of language in all its facets. You study the phenomenon language in the broadest sense of the word: theoretical and applied issues. Sometimes it is mainly a literature study, then you analyze tape recordings with spoken language or turn to a school, medical center or publishing house. You become a specialist in your field and at the same time you get to know the professional practice.

A Bachelor s degree from an accredited research university including at least three full years of academic study amounting to a minimum of 180 EC or equivalent, Curriculum Vitae, 2 Letters of recommendation, Letter of Motivation, Diploma(s), Transcript of records, IELTS: 6.5, TOEFL internet-based test: 92, Cambridge Advanced English (CAE): grade A, B or C, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): grade A, B or C, State Examination Dutch as a second language, programme II (NT2-II), VU-NT2 Department, CNaVT Certificate.
