In the one-year master's program in Dutch literature and the literary field, you learn to study and analyze Dutch literary texts from the present and the past. You involve both the literary-historical context and the whole of literary institutions that we call the literary field. You deepen your knowledge of the role that literary texts have fulfilled in our society and still fulfill in value transfer, in the cultural debate and in identity formation. In this way you prepare for professions in which these processes play an important role, such as education, publishing and cultural institutions.

A Bachelor s degree from an accredited research university including at least three full years of academic study amounting to a minimum of 180 EC or equivalent, Curriculum Vitae, 2 Letters of recommendation, Letter of Motivation, Diploma(s), Transcript of records, IELTS: 6.5, TOEFL internet-based test: 92, Cambridge Advanced English (CAE): grade A, B or C, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): grade A, B or C, State Examination Dutch as a second language, programme II (NT2-II), VU-NT2 Department, CNaVT Certificate.
