Program Overview

Intervention criminology is the specialization in which you tackle these kinds of themes. You gain insight into the criminal careers of different types of perpetrators, such as perpetrators in organized crime, sex offenders, juvenile offenders and seniors. You will also study the possible interventions to turn these careers around. Special attention is paid to the role of gender; think, for example, of the large difference in recorded crime between men and women, and the different types of punishments they receive.
