Program Overview

The clinical psychologist is concerned with people who are psychologically disrupted or threatened to become unsettled. These disruptions can manifest themselves in different ways. Think of anxiety or mood complaints, personality disorders, the stagnation of contacts and relationships, the dysfunction in work situations or the lack of control of behavior. Mental disruptions can have various causes and backgrounds such as traumatisation, exposure to stress, disorders in the personality structure and genetic vulnerability. Usually there is a combination of factors.

A Bachelor s degree from an accredited research university including at least three full years of academic study amounting to a minimum of 180 EC or equivalent, Curriculum Vitae, 2 Letters of recommendation, Letter of Motivation, Diploma(s), Transcript of records, IELTS: 6.5, TOEFL internet-based test: 92, Cambridge Advanced English (CAE): grade A, B or C, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): grade A, B or C, State Examination Dutch as a second language, programme II (NT2-II), VU-NT2 Department, CNaVT Certificate.
