MA in Commodity Science

Students in the field of commodity science acquire the necessary knowledge and skills: to understand social, natural and economic phenomena and processes occurring in particular phases of the life cycle of goods; the impact of the product and technological process on the environment; quality management; the principles of the functioning of European and national food law and food safety systems; about norms and rules (legal, organizational, moral, ethical) organizing social structures and institutions as well as forms of individual entrepreneurship; principles of industrial property and copyright protection, and learn to properly use and evaluate the suitability of routine methods, techniques, tools and materials for solving engineering tasks; assess the authenticity of the product or detect its adulteration (on the basis of) using its physicochemical properties; design a product, system or process for the production of food and industrial products; properly analyze the causes and course of social processes and natural phenomena, and use the acquired knowledge to resolve dilemmas at work.
