Cyber-physical systems (Cyber-Physical System, CPS) are systems consisting of various natural objects, artificial subsystems and control controllers, which make it possible to represent such an entity as a whole. CPS provides for close communication and coordination between computing and physical resources. Computers monitor and control physical processes using a feedback loop where what happens in physical systems affects computing and vice versa.
