Literary criticism is a science that studies fiction as a phenomenon of art and culture, the principles of understanding and interpreting texts. The tasks of a specialist in the field of literary criticism include the analysis and study of classical and modern literature (Russian and foreign), theoretical and comparative poetics. Knowledge of literature is necessary not only for teachers, journalists, culturologists, translators, literary and theater critics, authors and publishing house employees, but also for specialists in the field of cultural diplomacy and regional studies, psychologists, philosophers, lawyers, economists, representatives of advertising (PR) and personnel ( HR) agencies.
