This Master, although designed to complement the training of graduates in geological engineering, may also be accessed by graduates of very different previous training, geologists, engineers from other branches, geophysicists, which will help to relate working methods and highly contrasted mentalities achieve a new type of training in which these different academic formations are combined.The development of research in the field of Geological Engineering is directed by the needs of the new orientation of the labor market and the requirements of research and development of engineering for the planning and execution of large civil infrastructures, as well as the understanding of the interaction between materials and geological processes the causes- that cause damage to large and small works
