Program Overview

The Master's Degree in Advanced Studies in Social and Cultural Anthropology aims to provide reflection tools to analyze the sociocultural reality in a complex way, emphasizing cultural diversity within the framework of multiple specific social relationships (intercultural, transnational, local, political, economic, gender, etc.). For this, it encourages the development of academic knowledge by enhancing the ethnographic treatment and, at the same time, attends to the use of said knowledge for the advice and / or the promotion of initiatives of socio-cultural intervention and formulation of public policies that take into account the demands of the socio-cultural heterogeneity and, in general, the complexity that characterizes contemporary societies.
