The Master in Political Theory and Democratic Culture is the only Master in Spain dedicated almost exclusively to political theory.However, this is one of the most relevant fields for the discussion, analysis and reorientation of the values and principles that govern our societies.The current democratic systems are immersed in an environment of uncertainty.On the one hand, there is a wide and complex debate on the validity of representative democracy, which some opinions see as typical of an era already surpassed by new economic, social and technological realities, to which they would not know how to respond.On the other hand, other voices warn of the low viability of non-representative systems and the negative consequences that their implementation would have.In convergence with this debate, new parties and social movements have emerged that question the economic, educational and cultural model of the Western world, proposing new forms of social activism, but lacking a solid theoretical reflection to support them.
