This two-year international master s programme focuses on the intersection between social work and human rights. By intertwining the two fields, the aim is to provide students with a unique perspective on human rights issues and social development in all levels of society.The Master s Programme in Social Work and Human Rights is shared by the Department of Social Work and the Department of Global Studies. It is one of the most applied for international master s programmes at the University of Gothenburg. It is a full-time (120 ECTS) programme, accessible for both international and Swedish students.

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, or a Bachelor's Degree in related topics, Proficiency in English: English 6 (IELTS-6.5 (no section below 5.5),TOEFL PBT-4.5 in the written test with an overall score 575, TOEFL iBT score of 20 in the written test with an overall score of 90,Cambridge English Certificate in Advanced English, Person PTE Academic-62 (writing 61))/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, Bachelors degree or equivalent in the form of final and official diploma and transcripts, Students with a degree in Social Work and/or Human Rights are favored in competition with students with degrees in related subjects
