The Master of Science in Disease ecology builds on the student's knowledge of ecology, evolution and molecular biology in order to explore and appreciate the role diseases play in wildlife, domestic animals and humans. During the first year, students are introduced to multidisciplinary aspects of disease ecology, ranging from veterinary and human medicine to molecular biology and ecology, including current research topics in the subject field. Students are also introduced to how individuals, populations and species are influenced by and cope with diseases in a temporally and spatially influenced environment, including how climate change and human activities drives the distribution and emergence of disease.
