Program Overview

This specialisation provides a comprehensive two-year course of study in Portuguese Linguistics. As well as training in the Portuguese language you will also study topics in Portuguese linguistics within the profile area of the Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin America Studies: Pragmatics, Discourse analysis, Interaction analysis, Second Language Acquisition, Syntax and Language change. The programme ends with a 30-credit degree project where, with the assistance of a supervisor, you design and conduct a scientific investigation within the area of Portuguese linguistics.

Should have A Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Portuguese incl. a degree project in Portuguese, English 6 or equivalent, A Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, corresponding to at least 180 credits ,Certified copy of your complete list of grades, English langyage skills: IELTS score of 6.5 and no section below 5.5, TOEFL iBT: Total score of 90 with minimum score of 20 in written test, Michigan English Language Assessment Battery-Minimum score of 90, Pearson Test of English-Score of 62 (writing 61), University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), copy of the page in your passport with your personal data and photograph, or a similar identification document
