The department provides professional courses in the fields of British and American literature, Western literature, Western cultural thoughts and cross-cultural studies to exercise in-depth human and cultural considerations, to explore the interaction between theory and text, and to adopt a global economic environment. The local perspective is to make insights and interpretations of Western literature and culture, and to cultivate humanistic research scholars with deep thinking skills and insights. The master's program is based on English and American literature and related research. With a range of English and American literature, comparative literature and related research, the doctoral class explores the texts and writings of contemporary issues such as ethnicity, gender, language, cultural attributes, urban and rural areas, and discreteness across Chinese and Western cultural issues.
