Program Overview

Department of Biomedical Engineering started a graduate degree program in the 2004-2005 academic year leading to an MS degree in Biomedical Engineering, Although the medium of instructions is Turkish, some courses are offered in English. Since all students must Successfully Complete English language Requirements, the students do not have any difficulty in following such courses. The objective of the program is to teach qualified graduates for the needs of industry, healthcare systems, and academic in Biomedical Engineering. The program also provides opportunity to qualified students from various academic disciplines other than biomedical engineering, for further advanced level study in Biomedical Engineering. The graduates fulfilling the requirements of the University are granted the Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Additional Information & Requirements

Minimum of 120 ECTS credits, 100 ECTS credits of which are obtained from 10 courses for MSc degree without thesis program, besides taking the required Term Project (20 ECTS). The student must have a Minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00 and no letter grades lower than C, Y and no Z, F grades for graduation, Official high school transcripts, 2 Letters of recommendation, Statement of purpose, Copy of valid Passport, Registration Letter, Health Certificate, Foreign Nationals Exam that is given by Ba kent University and the ones accepted by Ba kent, GCE General Certificate Education, Cambridge International A Level, SAT CR+CW+M: minimum score of 1000 out of 1600 writing included, International Baccalaureate:At least 24 diploma score out of 45, International science olympaids: Having a gold, silver or bronze medal from the International Science Olympiads recognized by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, West African examination council:Minimum 3 subjects in the related area of the applied program for 5 subjects with at least 25 points in total
