Program Overview

Master's Degree Program with thesis in Food Engineering is a 120 ECTS credits program with a duration of 2 academic years composed of 4 consecutive 30-ECTS semesters. The regular program consists of 7 courses of 21 local credits, a seminar and a thesis. Both the course work and the thesis worth 60 ECTS credits each. Upon a request by the program director, the institute may require the prospective student to enroll additional courses if his/her background is not considered to be sufficient to follow the program. The program offers graduate study leading to the master's degree for graduates of other related engineering disciplines, such as chemical engineering, environmental and agriculture engineering, and the interdisciplinary programmes such as biotechnology and bioengineering, material engineering etc. Through our program graduate students receive in-depth training in the core disciplines of food chemistry, food microbiology, food engineering and processing.

Completion of all the courses designated within the curriculum of the programme, having a total of 120 ECTS Credits including a thesis work of 60 ECTS, with passing grades, and Achievement of a cumulative grade point average CGPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, Undergraduate diploma a copy translated to Turkish or English, Undergraduate transcript a copy translated to Turkish or English, Photocopy of the relevant pages of your passport, A cumulative GPA of 2,5 on a 4,0 or equivalent, English degree program applicants: TOEFL score - 66 points or YDS/Y KD L score - 55 points / PTE 60, If students do not have TOEFL or YDS/Y KD L or PTE then they have to pass English Proficiency Exam, which will be held in IAU, Students applying for Turkish Degree program TOMER B2 Level, If you know Turkish You can pass a Turkish Proficiency Exam, 1 Biometric Photograph
