Geophysical Engineering Department was established in 1989 in Ankara University Faculty of Science. With the establishment of Faculty of Engineering in 2001, the department continued the undegraduate and gradute education under this faculty. The graduates of the department meet the needs of private and public companies. In addition the researchers and academics graduated from the program contributed to the other universities to establish their own geophysics departments.
