Program Overview

Cultural Studies and Media Master's Degree Program is launched in order to academic interests and technical proficiencies of Hacettepe University, Faculty of Communication's academic staff in terms of interdisciplinary nature and methodological broad range of the field. The courses of the program aim to provide students specific knowledge of the field, meanwhile they will be able to contribute related literature by means of their distinctive submissions to analyze social, socio-cultural and political tensions that appears due to interactions between individual, media and society and to develop policy-making processes in the sense of global and local spheres.

Four-year Bachelor's Degree with an average of at least 2.80 over 4.00, Applicants are required to score at least 55 standard points from equal weight categories of the Academic Staff and Graduate Education Examination, Applicants are required to score at least 60 in the Foreign Knowledge in Foreign Language Placement Examination, Graduation certificate or Photocopy of Diploma, Transcript with GPA, ALES (true copy or approved photocopy), At least 60pts in ALES, The copies not approved more than 3 years, 600pts in GRE or 550pts in GMAT, Those who do not have YDS Result or do not have an equivalent point in YDS can apply, TOMER certificate (70pts and over) for foreigners-The bank document of payment, High School Certificates /Diplomas-a GCE A Level: Provided that the average grade is C in minimum; at least 3 A-Level; or 2 A-Level and 1 AS-Level scores from relevant subjects, International Baccalaureate-A minimum score of 33, with one of the subjects being relevant to the program applied, French Baccalaureate-A minimum score of 14 in the stream relevant to the program applied, ABITUR -A maximum score of 2, one of the subjects being relevant to the program applied, Pishdanesgahi-A minimum score of 18, Foreign Language Points: TOEFL(IBT) 163 (Comp.based), TOEFL(CBT) 68 (Internet based), IELTS-5, CPE-C, UDS-60, KPDS-60, YDS-60
