Program Overview

Our Virology department is the first founded veterinary virology department in Turkey in 1968. Researches about Diagnostics, epidemiology and pathogenesis of viral infections of domestic animals are done in our department. Our laboratories have current equipments and after finishing our new BSL-3, zoonotic diseases will been able to work on. Also, having a wide cell culture collection in our department facilitates working on virus isolation so that the department has a lot of native virus strain belongs to different family.
