Program Overview

The aim of this program is to educate postgraduate level qualified personnel who have knowledge about factors that play roles in the pathogenesis of genetic diseases, have ability to use the latest technologies and methods to access information in the field of the Medical Genetics, and have eligible to work in health care institutions and organizations. The purpose of the Master in Medical Genetics with Thesis program is to educate highly qualified postgraduate persons, who have specialized in the clinical applications of the genetic sciences and proficient in current laboratory techniques and the program has also aims to contribute to increase the scientific research in Turkey.

Additional Information & Requirements

Minimum of 21 credits and 120 ECTS credits,60 ECTS credits of which are obtained from 7 courses for MSc degree with thesis program, besides taking the required seminar (10 ECTS) and writing and defending a Master's Thesis (60 ECTS). The student must have a Minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00, Official high school transcripts, 2 Letters of recommendation, Statement of purpose, Copy of valid Passport, Registration Letter, Health Certificate, Foreign Nationals Exam that is given by Ba kent University and the ones accepted by Ba kent, GCE General Certificate Education, Cambridge International A Level, SAT CR+CW+M: minimum score of 1000 out of 1600 writing included, International Baccalaureate:At least 24 diploma score out of 45, International science olympaids: Having a gold, silver or bronze medal from the International Science Olympiads recognized by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, West African examination council:Minimum 3 subjects in the related area of the applied program for 5 subjects with at least 25 points in total
