Program Overview

In the MA program in International Relations, fundamental topics such as the history of international relations, classical and new perspectives in international relations and the position and foreign relations of Turkey within international relations will be covered. Within this context, both the classical and the critical approaches will be included in the program. Besides today's most important topics and problems will be studied critically especially with the elective courses that provide for the opportunity to elect from a wide range. The program aims to provide students with knowledge and analysis capabilities that enable to develop a vision based on comprehensive knowledge in theoretical and practical areas of international relations.

Additional Information & Requirements

Candidates willing to pursue the thesis-track must have the minumum score in either one of the exams stated below. EXAM Minumum Score - ALES 55, GRE 149, GMAT 450. All non-native speakers of English must prove their English Proficiency Certificate with one of the exams below. EXAM MINUMUM - KPDS 60, YDS 60, E-YDS 60, DS 60, Y KD L 60, TOEFL (IBT) 72, CPE C, PTE 55, CAE C. Baskent University English Prof. Exam 60. The Minimum ECTS credit requirement is 120 for both tracks. Students on the Thesis track are required to Complete Successfully a Minimum of 8 courses, 5 of which are compulsory, a Thesis Seminar (5 ECTS) and a Master's thesis (35 ECTS), which is to be Successfully defended before a panel of academicians. All students must have a Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.50/4.00 and no letter grades lower than C in any of the courses they have taken.
