Program Overview

The graduate programs of the Sociology department have been carried out since the 1967-1968 academic year. The graduate program aims to train individuals who can use the detailed and analytical information on basic theoretical and procedural matters and issues of sociology, who has the ability to carry out research that triggers independent, original, and further expansions on sociology's current problems, who can develop political suggestions to solve social matters, who can take over social and ethical responsibility in order to further scientific knowledge and understanding, provide human welfare and social development.

Four-year Bachelor's Degree with an average of at least 2.50 over 4.00, Applicants are required to score at least 60 standard points from equal weight categories of the Academic Staff and Graduate Education Examination, Applicants are required to score at least 60 in the Foreign Knowledge in Foreign Language Placement Examination, Graduation certificate or Photocopy of Diploma, Transcript with GPA, ALES (true copy or approved photocopy), At least 60pts in ALES, The copies not approved more than 3 years, 600pts in GRE or 550pts in GMAT, Those who do not have YDS Result or do not have an equivalent point in YDS can apply, TOMER certificate (70pts and over) for foreigners-The bank document of payment, High School Certificates /Diplomas-a GCE A Level: Provided that the average grade is C in minimum; at least 3 A-Level; or 2 A-Level and 1 AS-Level scores from relevant subjects, International Baccalaureate-A minimum score of 33, with one of the subjects being relevant to the program applied, French Baccalaureate-A minimum score of 14 in the stream relevant to the program applied, ABITUR -A maximum score of 2, one of the subjects being relevant to the program applied, Pishdanesgahi-A minimum score of 18, Foreign Language Points: TOEFL(IBT) 163 (Comp.based), TOEFL(CBT) 68 (Internet based), IELTS-5, CPE-C, UDS-60, KPDS-60, YDS-60
