Curriculum Structure (Year 1)

Term 1 (Foundations & Core Tools):
You begin with fundamental modules that build your base in programming, data handling and analytics — focusing on Data Analysis & Decision Making, Machine Learning & Deep Learning Basics, and introductions to essential tools and languages such as Python, cloud platforms and AI approaches. The programme also includes preparatory material on Programming and Statistical Analysis so you can get up to speed before tackling advanced topics.

Term 2 (Applied Analytics & Advanced Concepts):
In your second term, you deepen your analytical expertise with hands-on work in areas like Natural Language Processing (NLP), Advanced Data Visualisation, Business Intelligence Tools, and Big Data Techniques — all designed to help you apply theory to real datasets and business problems. Project-based learning and lab work ensure you learn to use analytical tools that employers care about.

Term 3 (Capstone & Specialisation):
The final term culminates in a Capstone Project where you integrate what you’ve learned by solving a substantial, real-world data science problem — often partnering with industry or building a portfolio piece for your job search. You may also choose a focus area like Artificial Intelligence for Data Science or Business & Data Analytics to align your study with specific career interests.
