You'll study Health Systems and Global Health, learning about the structure and challenges of healthcare delivery worldwide, Managing Healthcare Organizations to understand operational leadership in health settings, and Health Economics to grasp economic principles behind resource allocation and health policy. Additionally, Accounting for Decision Making and Operations Management in the Health Industry equip you with key tools for strategic and financial decisions in healthcare organisations.
Semester 2 – People, Finance & Health Tech
The second semester shifts focus to the human and financial side of health organisations along with research skills. You’ll take Managing People at Work (Human Resource Management) & Leadership to sharpen leadership and team management capabilities, Financial Management in Healthcare Organizations to understand budgeting and finance in complex settings, Statistics & Research Methodology to build analytical rigor, Health Technology Assessment to evaluate health innovations, and Management Information Systems in the Health Industry to explore how digital tools support decisions in care delivery.
Semester 3 – Public Health, Strategy & Application
In your final semester, the programme focuses on broad, strategic perspectives. You’ll examine Public Health fundamentals and their impact on policy and organisational decision-making, and Strategic Management: Social Responsibility, Ethics & Governance, where you’ll explore long-term leadership and responsible practice in healthcare. Applicants for the Master in Healthcare Management and Economics shall have a recognized Baccalaureate degree earned in a discipline appropriate for the prospective graduate degree with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (‘B’)or its established equivalent.A CGPA less than 3.0 may be admitted conditionally fulfilling conditions as stated under conditional admission requirementsApplicants to have a minimum of three years of management or professional experience.Applicants with leadership potential.
