1 Years On Campus Masters Program

University of Chichester

Program Overview

This course consists of both mandatory and elective modules.

You will have the opportunity to pursue a specific discipline route within the field of dance, focusing on areas such as biomechanics, nutrition, physiology, psychology, or strength and conditioning. Each discipline route includes three compulsory modules in that particular subject area, two relevant elective modules in dance, and a module on research methods. As part of your studies, you will also have the option to choose between completing an Applied Dance Science: Supervised Research Portfolio or a Dissertation.

The Applied Dance Science: Supervised Research Portfolio allows you to gain practical knowledge in applied dance science. It helps you develop the reflective and academically grounded skills that are highly valued by organizations such as the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS), One Dance UK, British Association for Sport and Exercise Science (BASES), and National Dance Educators Organization (NDEO). This experience prepares you for potential membership and professional development opportunities with these organizations.
