Program Overview

The MSc Professional Accountancy (ACCA Route) provides you with a unique opportunity to obtain two prestigious qualifications: a master's degree from GCU and a professional qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). This program offers the flexibility to study either online or at our Glasgow campus on a full-time or part-time basis.

The master's course is designed to align with the ACCA Strategic Professional exams, enabling you to take your ACCA exams at the completion of each module. Upon successfully finishing the degree, you will acquire a set of valuable skills necessary for professional accountants in today's global business environment. These skills include a critical understanding of the financial management and leadership aspects of organizations. The entry requirements provided here should serve as a general guideline and indicate the minimum qualifications needed to be considered for admission. Applicants who receive a conditional offer of a place may be required to meet additional criteria beyond what is stated. Typical entry requirements include the completion of the ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams, or the attainment of exemptions from these exams through an accredited degree program. If exemptions have been granted from an accredited degree program, students must have achieved a minimum of a 2:2 classification or its equivalent. For those who still need to complete their Applied Skills exams, GCU offers the opportunity to study these exams through our ACCA course. In terms of English language proficiency, applicants are expected to have an Academic IELTS score of 6.0 or an equivalent qualification, with no individual element scoring below 5.5.
